I was going to ignore this post because I honestly had nothing to remark about it but then someone linked me to a post on neogaf (a place I never visit unless linked to).

1. I didn't use ANY modded hardware in this process. I did this via opening a cache file in a hex editor, plus a few other tricks I have up my sleeve for interfacing with Blam engine data...all of which is done statically (not in-game, ie dynamically, on some modded console) on my PC.
2. I didn't post this to Bnet, nor did I post this to "ruin" any fun. I uploaded the film to my file share, yes, so I guess in that case I did "post the results" on Bnet, but it was never for ruining anyone's fun. Unless ruining someone's fun involves freeing up their Halloween weekend?

My apologies to Dan if he doesn't like/approve of my more technical approach to his egg hiding. This wasn't anything personal. I just hate seeing people waste hours and hours of their life trying to find a needle in a haystack when I'm sitting right next to them with a giant magnet.

What if I never said how I found this and just posted a video of a friend and I on how to get it? Guess it's too late to ask that question now. It should be noted that I'm not the first person in Halo's history to find eggs like this via going The Matrix on the game. I guess this is just more of a hot topic since you publicly posted about it in the BWU, instantly sending people into a craze in trying to find it.

Oh well. Does promising that I won't speak a peep about anything for The Next Big Thing help? That's OK, it was a rhetorical question anyway. Sorry Bungie.
