In Response To: Re: I don't believe it (GrimBrother One) : ^ This. There is way too much to explore in the Halo universe to risk doing : what could possibly be a disservice to a classic... Sure I'd like a Halo space shooter, a Sangheili Spec-Ops squad based game. But I'd also welcome a remake. I'm really not worried about the concept of doing a 'disservice' to a classic. I feel for the most part that Halo would be fairly safe from that and the people in charge would take care of it and not just change certain things for the sake of it. I've seen remakes done very well indeed. Though when FF7 was mentioned further in the topic, I do feel compelled to add the problem there is that Square haven't actually remade FF7 at all, but they have created extra material that alters events from the original game and they've done it multiple times.
Of the top of my head, there are no less than 3 different versions of the events that took place in the Nibelheim Mako reactor 5 years before the start of the game.
