In Response To: Old halo games remake by 343 industries? (hotshot revan) I have various opinions... I'd love to see Halo CE updated. I wouldn't want to see it made as a brand new game at full price. It feels like a community project, a grassroots effort, perhaps partnered/sanctioned by 343. I might pay for it, but definitely not full price game. I think of the Doom franchise - getting its brand new revamp, which very much changed what was canon from the original trilogy... I think of Final Fantasy updates from the original classics (not that I've played through them all), keeping with the story but updating graphics... I think it can be done if it's done right and presented in such a way as to be an exploration of what could have been. Not intended to -replace-, but moreso a different envisioning. I don't think it would ruin the original by any means, as long as the original isn't considered obsolete. All in all, I'd love to see an updated Halo CE with the Reach (or other quality) engine, but nothing will ever match the first play experience.
