One of the staff claims Bungie has them working to : finalize the gametype for possible Hopper use, but I thought that was RT's : job? RT doesn't really have anything to do with Grifball anymore outside of selling the shirts, stickers, etc. in their online Store. But yeah, GrifballHub is doing their own thing trying to find a gametype that is both fun and competitive for use in their Good Game League. The RT league is kinda coming to the end of the line I feel with no support from the actual RT guys and very little organization within the administration (the commish has also disappeared for 2 straight seasons..). So who knows, the Hub could end up being the new big Grifball league. But assuming the RT league doesn't die, it will probably just use the Hub's gametype with a different map. Supposedly the "official" gametype will come out in early November, so time will tell.
