Yes, and those Apple II games sure had high expectation for Quality Control. I imagine Bungie has testers constantly playing the game with every control scheme trying to find another BXR. It's not as simple as just remapping the buttons to different commands. That would only take a couple lines of code. The difficulty comes in testing every possible permutation for possible exploits and glitches. Not to mention having to implement UI graphics for "Hold X to pick up weapon." "Hold A to pick up weapon." "Hold Down on the D-Pad to pick up weapon." It would take a lot of work to make every possible control scheme give players the same experience, and if they only did a half-quality job of it you know everyone would cry foul anyways.
