In Response To: Legendary editon of reach on waypoint, looks nice! (ElzarTheBam) I really think it would be best to drop the armor and include it in the final game. However, I am much happier with this package than I thought it would be. The package is (other than the armor) exactly what many of us seemed to ask for. It has a behind-the-scenes journal. It has a beautiful sculpture. It has a super-nice case. It has a patch. It has in-universe goodies that I think we can all enjoy. It's much better than I expected. I was dreading an edition akin to the ODST LE. This is much, much better. I am absolutely preordering this. I think that I am going to be (barely) OK with the armor. I do not approve of the idea of exclusive DLC, but this is slightly different. Whereas other games use the DLC as a huge part of their marketing, this armor seems to be a tiny bonus. This is more like "You get THIS, THIS, THIS, THIS and also you get this little armor.". I think I am happier with this because the armor/DLC content is being used as a secondary bonus, rather than an important selling point. The sculpture looks great. I really like it. Better yet, it's not as gimmicky as many, many other LE's have been in the recent past. It's not a helmet that you can't wear. It's not a pair of night vision goggles (WTF?). It's not an action figure. It's a perfect thing to display. I love that. As for the journal, I love the look. It really looks like something a scientist would have. It has drawings. It looks worn. If it looks like that in the final package, I would absolutely believe that the good doctor owned it.
