Covenant : ships, like everything else by them, is always almost organic in design : with bulbous sections and curved shapes. Forerunner designs, by default, : are sleek and angular with geometric shapes. No real thick or bulbous : sections, everything is as slender and angular as possible. No curved or : organic shapes like the Covenant. Though again, just not based on much. It could perhaps be akin to looking at something like the Sea Shadow and presuming that all US Naval ships automatically followed that design aesthetic. The monitors is a pretty reasonable example, and certainly contrasts with the Sentinels. The Halos, Ark and Portal plates are also examples of very smooth and rounded Forerunner designs. Saying as a Halo was the first Forerunner designs we see, its actually somewhat interesting our first thought is that Forerunner designs are "by default, are sleek and angular with geometric shapes" That's not a knock at you, just a somewhat opium derived painkiller induced observation. :P (fully legal I assure you, but the actual drug is, somewhat surprisingly, a 'naughty' word on HBO)
