In Response To: Re: and would it be so hard to put in dates? (Bry) : Given that Frankie has taken the time to explain one of the reasons dates are : being kept ambiguous is because of long term un-revealed ideas and plots, : perhaps its not hard to interpret some of the constructive criticism as a : lack of trust. And that's a tough part for me. I say I trust and support Frankie and 343 Industries, but then I wonder if it's just because I'm in denial. The way I see it is that I truly do trust them, and that it's not a lack of trust that's causing me to complain about things or want some things different, but that I disagree with the way some of the things are being presented or thought about. Maybe a 5-10 year plan is just way too huge and ambitious, and maybe it should be a 2-3 year plan that gets expanded as each milestone is set. I mean, if I criticize Bungie and choices they've made or things they've changed, it's based on honest disagreement or hope that something is changed for the better, not a lack of trust of their ability to handle things. Basically, I feel Frankie and 343 Industries have all of this fairly well handled, probably all dated and figured out, but it just doesn't appear that way when "safety" is being presented as the obstacle to revealing some or most of the dates for Legends, or Cole Protocol, or whatever else we may be given in the future. It's just weird, and some things are way better than none. And so I agree with Metalingus when he asks whether we'll be given them some time later. Great question. Something is better than nothing, even if you tell half the dates but leave the others up to speculation and mystery.
