Hair is ARTISTIC LICENSE here and if we made a live action version, they would all have buzzcuts, including some, but not all of the women, who would have sensible military dos. Scale: Deliberate artistic notion and actually fairly common in Anime - it doesn't get discussed much because you're not usually comparing it with "rea;" things. But you'll note that it's used like a kind of literal framing - make things you wish to appear smaller, smaller and pile on with the camera angle. We discussed this in depth. O'Brien, for example would be canonically 5'10" with generally six-foot plus ODSTs, so he'd be short, in real life, but not exaggerated as in Babysitter. It's interesting to see how folks are digesting this stuff. Imagine how it would be if we did a live action movie.
