In Response To: Re: Everything I've Come to Expect (Bry) I love Bungie, and I love Halo. I have very few complaints about how the franchise is handled or the direction of the story or anything like that; I am content to just sit back and let the dudes roll out more awesome as time goes on. I'm not the type to go on about various minutiae that someone has gotten "wrong" or anything like that, either. This... "episode" however, was uninteresting, painfully cheap looking, and tacky in all the ways that Japanese animation manages to consistently deliver. Down to the irritating, spiky-haired protagonist and the dollar store "too broke to afford the Korean dudes who do the tweening for The Simpsons-art style." There are episodes of the original Transformers cartoon from the 1980's that were better put together than this nonsense. This is the first time I've felt seriously let down by Halo, and I wasn't going into this with high hopes. Whoever it was that decided to let their rampant "Glorious Nippon!" Akiraballcaptor-Z: Stand Alone Gundam fanboyism at Bungie needs to get their shit sorted, though. I mean, this was nauseatingly bad, and I now feel the need to question the intellect of anyone over the age of 5 who found this even remotely engaging. Wow. It was a wonderful idea to put these up for a day on Waypoint for free, though. I can't imagine how gypped I'd feel if I had paid for this.
