In Response To: Ignore these snotlings Frankie (Hikaru-119) : I thought it was pretty good. A wee bit confusing on the part of who/what : dies, but I still enjoyed it. : I want that armor... : At least some of us will. Although a couple of folks in here are searching for things to hate, most of this criticism is fair, subjective or interesting. You simply can't do this stuff if you have a think skin. Re. O'Brien's character - he's a necessary contrast - and as others have said, he's supposed to be petulant. He's kind of like an amazing running back - a sniper so good that he gets away with behavior that otherwise might not be tolerated, and he's learning about how that comes off all the way through the episode. SPC Berger at the end, is kind of a snapshot of who O'Brien is to others, and he recognizes that at the end. As for them being stalked at the end - there's a few things in play: The mission has gone wrong twice, once when they lost Checkman in the atmosphere - who would have had their back ("Check-Man" geddit?) and secondly when they lost a sniper rifle, rendering their backup shooter useless - and he was more concerned with ego than doing his job at that moment. Thirdly, without mistakes or drama, you may as well read the mission briefing, assume they carried it out and go to sleep. Of course they should have guarded that tunnel, probably at the entrance, not the exit where they were all waiting. But they didn't and they paid for it.
