In Response To: Everything I've Come to Expect (Cody Moore) The Forerunner ruins were weird. They were so different from what we have seen in the games and read about in the books. I was expecting something forerunner like, and instead I get a bunch of buildings that look like they were copied and pasted from a Japanese castle. That was disappointing. And the writing wasn't that good too. I can't ask for more from just a short flick, but at least make it slightly more interesting... And the part where the spartan took off her helmet and we all saw that she was actually a woman? Kind of predictable. And that part where she sacrificed herself to save that incompetent kid, and then after that saying that he was the only one who could take the shot? So cliche. Also, the portrayal of that ODST as an immature adolescent was... wrong. ODSTs are supposed to be tough as nails and hardcore soldier types, not teenage kids who still have lessons to learn. The animation wasn't that good either. There are good parts in there, but the bad points just mess it up. I enjoyed watching it, but I wasn't as satisfied as I expected. I'm not saying that I can do a better job, it's just that the people who made this obviously have the talent and opportunity to do something way above this standard, so why didn't they?
