In Response To: Re: Everything I've Come to Expect (Frankie) : Each to his own. : The Elites are wearing ceremonial, rather than battle armor. : Hopefully you'll like the next ones more. I'm the guy who Frankie previously quoted and remarked something about martini tears, so here's my opinions! Firstly, on these being shown free for a day, smart move, got me watching. I love Halo mainly for its story, and even though this 'animation' had very little of it, due to it being free, I won't complain about this being forced down our throats. Secondly, it was everything I expected it to be (truly awful). May I ask though Frankie, considering that some of the other ones in the series look quite good (the CG one, casio?), why did you/343 decide to make nearly all the rest 'childish' (the Asian guy who's with you in the preview video said something along those lines), as in looking like Pokemon/Dragon Ball Z, when the game/series is generally M-rated? I also hated the character of O'Brien. These are meant to be ODST's, hard nuts, on par perhaps with the John McAleese's of today? So why the hell did that character (exist!) have 'wavy-groovy' hair, shout as loud as he could when on the op, and act like a teen suffering from hormonal problems?
Overall though, a solid 2/10 from me. I dislike Anime, and I thought the characters were terrible, but loved the revelation of the mysterious structures on that planet (that you say aren't Human or Covenant, and that might not be Forerunner?). So yeah, I'm afraid you'll be thirsty for a good while yet.... unless you include tears that come as result of how cool the new BR looks in Reach, and how excited them leaked screens got me the other day?!
