Their difference isn't in how they act, it's how much shielding they have and what weapons they spawn with. You say the Gold elites were serious. They weren't They didn't have different AI. They had extra health AND A SWORD, which MADE THEM RUSH YOU : As was already mentioned, rechargeable shields! Engagements are leaps and : bounds more interesting. And boring OH NO I CAN'T KILL HIM HE KEEPS RECHARGING AND ITS ON LEGENDARY SO I CAN'T RUSH OUT : Their story! Based off everything we know about Brutes, I regard them as : primal fools compared to the great Sangheili. The Sangheili are a very rude bunch. In their culture, just being able to own a sword means they have the freedom to screw any female they want, EVEN IF THEY'RE MARRIED. : The voice. Fighting an enemy that screams nonsense to your human ears is : easily more engaging than "Here's something special!". WORT : WORT WORT!!! Nothing is more frightening then the yell of a charging Cheiftain. The yell just reverberates in your gut. : Energy Swords beat any of the weapons / vehicles added to the games from the : Brute sandbox, even though I do love to ride that Chopper. Have fun with your short range low ammo sword. I'll be over here with my gun that shoots spikes and a grenade launcher that doubles as an axe. : I could keep going but you hopefully get the gist of it... Bungie may or may : not have intended for them to be that way, but because of the story-arc : they planned out for the rest of the games the Elites became friends and : not the fearsome enemy they should always be. They were never fearsome. Wort Wort Wort was never a dangerous noise, it sounded like they were having a stroke. : Here's hoping it might be different next time around. *cough*REACH*cough* Here's hoping for more Brutes.
