(Rockslider) this is halo reach, and brute stuffs better be minimal at best, or i'm going to get pretty annoyed. bungie ought to quit twisting and messing with not only canon, but the fans' sense of the halo story. we've spent years discussing a history where brutes didnt factor in as much, and frankly I'd like it kept that way. brutes are terrible and their introduction into the story was poorly conceived and written. they're no fun to play against (although halo 3 was an improvement, the lack of regenerating shields made them a pushover, even in odst). literally everything regarding brutes pre-halo 2 feels forced and shoe-horned in. it's painfully obvious they were thrown in when the writing staff decided they wanted a rift in the covenant. while the covie civil war was a great addition to the story, it wasn't done with any kind of finesse but straight up ...brute force. them and drones. what the fuck, drones. what the fuck. what are you? where did you come from, why are you in the covenant, what significance do you have in the story, why have we never seen you before, but now you're goddamn everywhere? i hate you drones. no brutes and drones in reach, imo
