In Response To: Aren't Spike Grenades basically Plasmas? (RyanTheHeretic) : I've been thinking about the spike grenades lately, and to be honest, I don't : want them to return in Reach. I'd like to see all the new grenades removed; go back to frags and stickies. I HATE that only fire grenades stick to a Brute chieftain. OK there is a certain malicious pleasure in hearing a Brute whimper in pain as he burns but maybe I shouldn't enjoy that so much. I really don't like grenade management. I don't like faffing about checking that I have the correct grenade type selected during a hectic battle. I prefer the elegant simplicity of having the current selected grenade type and the other one. Halo dispensed with the FPS bag of holding and cycling through weapon selections. Halo (3?) brought that back. We were better off without it. I hate that I could have frags selected and know that I only have fire grenades as my other type (saved for Brute Chieftain encounters) yet when I finally need a fire grenade I stab the button to select them, throw, and a spike grenade bounces off him because I stepped over one whilst under plasma turret fire half a second before. Bin the new grenades, make stickies sticky again!
