Isn't it important to note that everyone is dying and all the ships are blown up or being blown up in these stressful times? If you've got a good man or woman to do the job, I be thinking they should get that job.

By the way, I think it's only apologetics if you believe you know more then Bungie about the Halo story. They've just chosen to highlight what they thought was the most important (and most fun) in their games, and thus we don't know all the details. I really don't think 100 or more geeks working on a game for three years aren't going to notice timeline mistakes (its one of the benefits of being a geek).... A lack of details or plot points or rounded timelines doesn't mean there's mistakes, it just means Bungie values other things more important than giving us every such detail.
