However instead of allowing those : inconsistencies to hang around unanswered, I choose to simply ignore them. : I personally don't consider canon to be some sort of incontrovertible : creed because most of what I consider don't consider canon doesn't matter : enough to me to cling to it. The story of halo, IMO loses nothing if the : stories of first strike and ghosts of onyx and halo wars are not included : so I choose to simply ignore them. But since they are a part of the canon, some new piece of fiction or a game may use some of that info or data. Then what you've chosen to ignore is staring you in the face again. IMO better to embrace it and see how it can fit without too much problem.
