In Response To: Here's yer dern retcon for yer (Metalingus627) : In all due seriousness though, I love what Bungie did with the Brutes in : ODST. They have come far from the bumbling imbeciles we fought in Halo 3. I like the 'bumbling imbeciles' gibe - spot on - but I'm mystified as to what you mean by "what Bungie did with the Brutes in ODST". I can't say I've noticed any difference at all. They still seem the same bumbling imbeciles to me, including the way they still deploy a bubble shield then saunter straight out of it - and including the way Chopper pilots give no real indication of being in control of their vehicles. Heck, I'm pretty sure they're just hanging on for dear life most of the time!
