As I recall, it was the optics suite from this downed drone that : triggers the Uplift Reserve mission. Excellent point. This reminded me that there are two Longsword sizes in Halo 3, the cinematic model and the crashed on on the Ark. The cinematic one was about 50% smaller than the crashed one. So because of that I just fired up ODST to see if the one crashed outside Uplift Reserve was the same size as the ones that fly overhead in the level itself. And, well, it is. So I'm pretty happy in the size comparison and in also saying that the ones seen on Longshore are not to scale with the Pelicans. Probably exaggerated sprites so you can actually see them in the distance. They are more a nice little bonus on Longshore rather than a story item as in ODST. That said, even at the current size in the chart, the UCAV isn't exactly all that tiny. Remember how large the Pelican is. The F-99, as it appears in that chart, isn't that much smaller than an F-16 Fighting Falcon and certainly big enough to feature a cockpit. Just to explain how the scale comes about, its using the pan-cam numbers. I simply hovered above a pelican, climbed by 30 on-screen units and took a screenshot. I then hovered over a F-99, climbed 30 units and took a screenshot. By comparing the two shots, taken from exactly the same distance, you should have a pretty accurate scale comparison.
