Thanks for the idea, but unfortunately when you use custom music all the in-play dialog goes away too, giving a rather unnatural atmosphere. Someone mentioned this to me and I've just checked in Halo 3. No screaming Grunts, nothin'. If my 'music' was actually silence, things would feel even more odd. I don't know why they have to have the dialog off; seems to mitigate badly against the usefulness of custom music. Besides, all the sound effects seem to be there - so why not dialog?
