So maybe your intentions were just but I viewed the topic as being that of a troll's.

"It seems to me that Bungie took things way to far with retconning certain events in Halo 2, one such retcon was none other than the voice of the main villain of the entire trilogy... the Prophet of Truth."

Great way to base an argument about an entire game and retcons - voice acting. Logical.

"In Halo 2 it seemed the Prophet of Truth was a puppetmaster, a Palpatine type villain who pulled various strings in order to set events into motion much like Palpatine did in the Star Wars series. In Halo it peaked with the Covenant civil war as Truth demoted the Elites and branded them all as Heretics (much like Order 66 in Revenge of The Sith).

In Halo 3 by replacing Michael Wincott with Terence Stamp Truth went from this enigmatic villain to your run of the mill villain from Scooby Doo. His last words in Halo 3 might aswell have been, "I would have gotten away with it to if it weren't for you meddling kids and your stupid Dinosaur"."

Which clearly shows retconning and destruction of Halo 3.

So because of Truth's voice change the entire game and story was rushed, had practically no thought, and isn't true canon. Joseph Staten clearly did absolutely no writing ever for the game even though Luke Smith joined Bungie in mid-2007 (showing he probably didn't do that much writing for H3 anyway), but it was clearly all Mclees and Smith who did the writing and they obviously somehow clearly suck at it. So Halo 3 sucks.

Yep. Plenty to discuss there. Factual inaccuracies, a lack of research, personal attacks (Mclees/Smith), and an entire game sucks because of it, all boiled down to voice acting. Sorry. Maybe it's not, by definition, trolling, but in my opinion (since this is all about opinions, right?), the post looked like a troll's. And that's all I have to say on this matter.
