Not the kind of corn that attacks your lab assistant ("It's not different at all, is it Steve? Bwahahaha!"), but it was definitely 80s action flick one-liner corn. And not the amusing Arnold kind, either. It was kinda pointless, especially given the situation. : Also, did you guys like anything about Halo 3? It kinda comes of like you : hated it.. Let's see. It had great music. The graphics were great even though they didn't quite reach the bar set by the announce trailer, and the art direction and lighting are among the best in the genre. Campaign stages, while overall the shortest in the series, aren't as confined and linear as Halo 2's (but they still fall far short of Halo 1's stages). It fixed many of the most broken gameplay elements that were present in Halo 2, including reducing the tracking on the plasma pistol's charge shot, giving the sword a battery, making the melees consistent (though they still need more improvement), and eliminating the glitches that plagued multiplayer. I also appreciate the de-emphasis on dual wielding by re-introducing the AR as a standard spawn weapon. The Needler is a vastly improved weapon as well, and is now actually useful in multiplayer. While I dislike the story and have issues with a lot of the gameplay elements and game features, it's an overall more polished game than Halo 2 in terms of gameplay and technical aspects. There's a reason I hardly ever play Halo 2 online anymore. Now if Halo 1 ever gets re-released with XBL capability, I'd ditch Halo 3 multiplayer in a heartbeat (might play it once in a blue moon).
