Depends entirely on the capabilities of that AA battery.
If it was capable of knocking out a Frigate, would you really want to risk the few you had left?
Somehow I don't think a UNSC frigate, in atmosphere, is really suited to SEAD.
The Longswords didn't seem to fare very well against it either.

And one can easily surmise that by that point, the Covenant had established space superiority.
That if any UNSC capital ship found itself in orbit, it would last mere seconds.
