In Response To: Re: Will Halo even USE Natal? (Bry) Well, that could work for the looking around/aiming, for movement, the question is how well Natal can sense your position. Say it takes where you stand when it starts as a neutral position. If you step forward, then it translates that to your character in game moving forward. Step back from the neutral position, and the character moves backward, left from neutral to strafe left, etc... This way, you dant have to do a constant motion of any kind to move, you just take a step in the direction you want the character to walk. Now, it would take a while for everyone to get used to, but it could work. Actually, instead of turning your head for aiming, it could just be you pretend to hold a rifle, and intead of using the position of your head, it could take the angle of the pretend rifle for looking/aiming, turn it only 10-15 degrees in a direction and the character starts looking in that direction, you could set a senstivity to how fast it turns. Essentially, the angle of the pretend rifle becomes the aiming stick, and your position from neutral would be the movement stick. Shooting would just be pulling the trigger of the pretend rifle, jumping would be jumping, things like reloading, switching weapons and greanades, etc... would just be different motions representing each action. Of course, whether or not Natal can sense all this that well I dont know, but if it can this should make an FPS possible without being tedious. (Aditional thought, you could probably have an option if you want to pretend like you are holding a rifle or a pistol, incase someone doesnt like one or the other)
