I'd like to know why they picked us to succeed them. They thought that we were special but we were hunter-gatherers with no technology to speak of. Why did they pick us? Did we have nicer asses than the other species in the galaxy? How did we inherit the sins of our father? Are we genetic descendants of some people? Do we and the Forerunners share a common ancestor? Has there been 2001 style tampering, performed on the Forerunner and then on us? Did we share the guilt merely by being volunteered to be Forerunners?
