In Response To: Halo - a look back over seven years (Louis Wu) A few months before Halo 2's release I was still active duty Air Force on a base in the "middle-of-nowhere", Texas. Spending time in a snowglobe as a base, I learned to not care about myself or others and I was pretty harsh and emotionally dead to others. When November 9th rolled around I was able to reconnect via XBL in Halo 2 with friends I haven't spoken with in years and they noticed the kind of person I had become. I eventually found a random group of players in Halo 2 and we were one of the thousands of obscure clans created. Over the last four years those random players have become family. We've been there to congratulate each other on graduations, marriages and have been there to console each other on losses and deaths. They've been there to help me out personally during my darkest times and I've tried to do the same for them. There are guys and girls specifically on Halo 2 that have played a crucial role in my personal growth. Without Halo 2 I probably wouldn't have gotten XBL and I would've be a very different, emotionally distant person. More specifically... without Halo, there wouldn't be FTC. And if FTC didn't inspire me to get into film I'd probably still be in the military. :D We also have pics of our annual get togethers if anyone's interested.
