I'm with vshields ash on the beginning and end being too long, but within the middle third where the actual live action is, I was really impressed with the spooky look of the swooping Banshees. They looked really believable. Blurred and rough yes, but believeable. Phantom also good. Most of the Pelican effects likewise, except that at 02:30 it swivelled back and forth too fast for such a massive thing. The cloaked Elite effect with the hovering plasma sword was also quite spooky, even if we never did get to see a dead body. On the minus side, one guy's hair was way too long for me to believe he was a Marine. Should've made a sacrifice and had it cropped close for the sake of realism! Also, in the sequence where the two guys fire on a Banshee, not every bang of the pistol had an accompanying muzzle flash. More importantly though, the Banshee was moving fast across the sky and the guys should've been tracking accordingly, but they were actually just firing at one spot, so you lost realism there. Would've liked to see the Banshee blowing up more clearly too; only saw a brief flash. Overall though, it was fun and I'd definitely like to see more of this stuff. But for the sake of impact, I'd say keep opening credits to just a few seconds or leave them all till the end; get right into the live action to grab peoples' attention fast. Oh, and boost the sound effect for swooping Banshees, to accentuate the menace. They looked great but the sound was indistinct. Actually most of the sound was pretty murky to be honest. What was it the guy said near the start when they spot the Phantom and Banshees? Sounded like "Quick, latrines, move!". Fair enough - I'd probably wet myself too if I saw that lot coming for me!
