If Tex is part of Church/Alpha, then it's possible she represents his military skills- As a military AI, Church should have been able to perform some repairs, and at least shoot straight. Yet he could never fix the tank or understand his robot body, and has only hit someone with a sniper rifle once (and that was by accident).

Interestingly, Sarge has also been to the 'spirit realm', after he was shot in the head. When he was there, he talked with 'ghost' Church. That would suggest that he is an AI too. Is it possible that everyone in Blood Gulch is part of Church?

Caboose is his stupidity - Church has never seemed to be relatively smart

Grif is has laziness - Church was willing to wait 1000 years for a machine to be built so he could stop the bomb

Donut is... his feminine side? Who knows. But everyone in the canyon seems to be one personality trait that has become exaggerated, just like delta is always logical and gamma always lies.

Just a weird theory I had.
