In Response To: Re: An old issue regarding what's canon (Narcogen) : Basically I think there are two differing philosophies: one that says that : the more you consider canon, the richer and more fun the universe is, and : one that says the less you consider canon, the more rigorous and : self-consistent the universe is. I'm solidly in the latter camp; there's : no point in building a database of what is considered "canon" if : the threshold for entry is too low. I am about in the middle of the road. I consider everything "official" as canon. ILB had access to the Halo Bible and was commisioned by MS who, whether people like it or not, own the rights to Halo. This means (fortunately or unfortunately remains to be seen) we may have many more Halo games ahead of us. However I'm of the mind that they shouldn't expand their reach too far lest they fall prey to Star-Wars Syndrome. The richer the universe the better, but I think at some point Halo should just close it's doors to history. No need to keep the horse alive when then ship has sailed. Wow, I think I just completely butchered that analogy, but hey. :P If they make a "Master Chief's Super Star Tennis" I will jump ship completely. That's the point at which the franchise just becomes a sell-out.
