Ahh, alright, that kinda makes more sense. I'm not sure if I've ever seen a smaller scale rts like the one you envision, so if Halo Wars pulls it off it could be a nice new pace. I still don't think it looks that way from the video though. The scale of the combat is large enough where moving marines in from the side to take out a tank wouldn't do much more than it would from the front.

Positioning of units in starcraft DOES make all the difference, though. Micro (unit management) gameplay is half the battle. I'm not all that experienced in the game, considering how good some others are, but I know you cant just throw units at a player with any kind of skill and expect a win.
