Using the Tab Mix Plus extension on Firefox, I set the option to force all links in a new background tab. Then, timing it to ~45 seconds, I began spamming the link. I know I was clicking it when it turned to TRU7H, but nothing happened in the window or in the new tab I had created. Maybe it's possible clicking it like that canceled the image, but I think I would've seen the image pop up if even only for a split second.

I'm not sure, I'm leaning towards fake if no one can reproduce this.
