In Response To: To many choices, lend your opinions please!noflames (Matt(Uh...#5)) And it comes from Nintendo. If you want Halo, you can get the PC version, unless one of the Bungie guys wants to come out and admit it's not up to snuff...what with the XBox being much, much more capable of playing games than an Athlon XP 1900+ with 1 GB or RAM and a GeForce3 Ti500. In two weeks I'll be happily playing Luigi's Mansion, Madden 2002, and Rogue Leader to get me started. I'll have an extra $100 in my bank account. I don't work for Nintendo, so I'm not paid to proselytize you with gibberish. S. Miyamoto doesn't develop games for the XBox, and he likely never will. You have seen with your own eyes the screenshots of GameCube games. Do they compare visually to XBox game screens? I think they do...I'd like to see side-by-side comparisons myself. I used to be a Bungie fanboy, but they haven't given me a compelling reason to buy the XBox. The Big N has given me more than enough reasons to remain a Nintendo fanboy. I'm not a complete Nintendo sycophant either. For the last generation of consoles, I went with the Sony Playstation instead of Nintendo 64. The biggest part of this decision was cost...the costs of buying N64 cartridges was a major barrier to entry...as was the storage limitations imposed by cartridges vs optical media. When you get a chance, go play with an XBox and a GameCube. Which one feels more like a console? Which one feels more like a PC? It all boils down to what you want. Do you want a crippled PC or do you want a modest console? The only question I asked myself was Indigo or Jet Black? Indigo. |
