In Response To: Bungie Weekley Update: The Smuggler (SonofMacPhisto) :Around each corner, atop each walkway, or camping the top ledge of a middle room :was a Shishka, a Sketch, a Frankie or some other unnamable, jarring horror. He really could have meant any number of things by that. However, it gave me a crazy idea: what if it's some kind of VIP map? I mean, what if it's restricted by experience or some other variable, so only the expert players could play on it? That would mean it would be filled with truly formidable opponents at all times. :if you use 365.2422 days in a year you get 286 years, 221 days
I wasn't going to get technical or overly specific, but no, that's not correct, and it can get pretty complicated. If you want the exact time compared to the motions of Earth (or the Moon in the case of months), then you would need to know the time.
One small annoyance: people keep saying that the Gravemind had absorbed 2401 Penitent Tangent, but from how it looked on-screen and how he (it?) talked, it seemed to me that Gravemind was just holding onto him, tightly enough that he couldn't escape. That raises its own problems, but he was adamant about containing the Flood, and GM didn't seem to be too fond of him, so I believe he had complete free will the whole time. Well, any way you slice it, it looks like we're going to find out more about the lesser-known monitor, and that's something I look forward to.
