I can see your point but I get the feeling my mind isn't able to comprehend the enormity of it all, so I *think* it's possible for sentinels to over power and win, but it may just not work out in the end. The biggest problem is one of surprise... both in that the flood had started infecting before the forerunners knew what was going on, and that the forerunners had disassembled all their weaponry and combat capabilities. In short, they were caught with their pants down. They fought for decades and could not stop it, and thus they had to (it sounds silly to say this) think out of the box. - M
