Everything we've read suggests that there : was only one class of Spartan-II, while there were many classes of : Spartan-IIIs. It makes far more sense if Yasmine was a Spartan-III from : the Alpha Company. That would fit just right. So if something's slightly : amiss, I tend to disregard it entirely. : But ILB is still an awesome story, as far as stories go. Part of the purpose of Ghosts of Onyx was to discredit I Love Bees, or at least Durga/Yasmine/Sleeping Princess/etc. She was kidnapped, which didn't happen to the Spartan-III's. The S-III's were just orphaned children from the human worlds that the Covenant had destroyed. Also, in addition to J^2 in ILB being a Spartan-I, it is heavily implied that Gilly and Jan's Mom are also Spartan-I's. So, if we believe that those three were Spartan-I's, and that Johnson was also likely a Spartan-I, that puts the total known at four, but seeing as how much of ILB cannot be trusted on as official canon, it's best to just cry into our soup. Maybe Johnson's buddy that tried to kill him in Contact Harvest is a Spartan-I.
