The general consensus around here is that the "Halo effect" will kill any Flood bigger than the spore form. Thats why the enemy fleet being piloted by Flood forms was left adrift. With the larger Flood dead and all other large biological life-forms that the spores could infect dead the spores would simply starve to death.
