What if the Flood has conquered countless galaxies? : So what if we took out ONE gravemind and a hive of flood! What if beyond : our galaxy's walls, there is only either empty space or the all-connected : thoughts of numerous graveminds, Flood so evolved, we do don't even stand : a chance? : And the only thing keeping us safe is the distance between galaxies, the huge : volume of space, and the odds therin involved with the Flood finding us. Well we do have one more good weapon. The remaining Halos. And possibly more if the Ark survived (which I believe it did, at least to some extent.) It seems clear that the Forerunner moved the Halos to their present locations in our galaxy after building them with the Ark. It could be possible to move the Halos to another galaxy to wipe out the Flood there.
