A scary thought...

In Response To: Re: First contact between the Flood and Forerunner (Rosco-128) I hope this comment makes sense, it's very late here... : My theory is that once the gravemind in the Flood's original galaxy : completely took it over, It packed flood forms into ships, put them into : hybernation and fired them off in the general direction of the nearest : galaxies, to drift untill they encountered more sentient life : whatever the case, There's still a whole galaxy full of flood out there. I was thinking about this the other day and actually creeped myself out... You reminded me of what the creepiest idea was... What if we're surrounded? What if the Flood has conquered countless galaxies? So what if we took out ONE gravemind and a hive of flood! What if beyond our galaxy's walls, there is only either empty space or the all-connected thoughts of numerous graveminds, Flood so evolved, we do don't even stand a chance? And the only thing keeping us safe is the distance between galaxies, the huge volume of space, and the odds therin involved with the Flood finding us.
