In Response To: Sidewinder's back, baby! (Gravemind) Hey everyone. I am very rarely active in this forum, but I do read over it quite frequently. This, however, I cannot go past without giving some input. First off, sketch, thanks for stopping by the forum and posing your question to the community (Ports vs. "Reimaginings"). It is really good to see that SOME developers actually are active in their fan communities (which is something I know Bungie is well-known for). As far as the maps go, and in response to your question: I think that all of the Halo 2 maps should be ported over. As far as level geometry goes, they are already Xbox 360 ready. Sure, maybe you could up the textures, change the time of day, input minor graphical upgrades; but at the end of the day, I would much rather have a lower-res version of an older map, then not have it at all. I know for a fact people are begging for Lockout, upgraded or not. I myself would love to see Headlong and Ivory Tower. Wouldn't it be a great way to end this trilogy to bring all the best of multiplayer together, pulling together elements from the past two games. And hey, if you want to give them a true graphical over-haul, then just replace the "port-only" version when you do. As far as Halo 1 maps go, with Sidewinder now becoming Avalanche, I only think that two more deserve to be updated and brought over: Damnation and Chill Out. I know a big part of Damnation was the fall damage, but I still loved that level and the way it was designed. I spent many-a-night with friends playing System Link games only in that level.
