In Response To: Fin-backed smudges (Rockslider) : Ok I got a look at it. Well, sort of. Is everything on You Tube presented : in Blur-O-Vision? Were those vaguely fin-backed smudges Grunts? They : sounded like Grunts at least, so I'll take it on trust. I really think : You Tube could learn a valuable lesson from my own site here. I challenge : anyone to find an image of poor quality at Bad Cyborg. : Anyway, I gritted my teeth and lowered myself into the foggy proceedings to : see your jump. And wa-hey, very nice! I don't know which of you did it, : but whoever was playing ol' squid-face did a great job of my favourite : type of late jump, as mentioned in my account. Smooth! : Not quite so smooth when it came to grenading down the side though. I could : just about make it out; a nasty case of blow-back. The first plasma was : thrown long, then a second tagged a Grunt closer up and got blown back : towards the thrower by the first, resulting in an explosion close enough : to blow Arby's pants off. Did he have pants? Again, I come back to the : Blur-O-Vision. : Anyway, must've been a bit of a scare. Whoever lobbed those grenades, please : repeat after me: "I must not blow myself up with my own : grenades!" Also please to be smacking yourself firmly about the head. : Still, the both of you had already shamefully died once apiece in the lake : bed, so hey, what's another little plasma incident among friends? Just lob : those suckers and take it as it comes! : Of course, that was only a late jump though. This being for a speed run and : all, you could shave a good few seconds off your time by doing an early : one. Time for round two perhaps? And no dying this time! Not if you want : me to clap at the end. Heh, the videos have been uploaded to HSH where a good copy will be visible, but they haven't been posted yet. Yes, YouTube is famous for the Blur-O-Vision ;) Psychophan7 was controlling the Arbiter, and while he has made the early jump before, he finds it more reliable to do the late jump. It's very frustrating to do a run really well, only to get smacked in the face by a Scarab :P Although he has blown himself up at least once trying to kill the scarab quickly... Truth be told, we sort of run the lower difficulties to work our way up to the Legendary runs. These runs aren't by any means perfect, but they're faster than the times currently up there :P -SR
