In Response To: Re: I blame the fanboys *sp Halo 3* (Cody Miller) : When you think about it, the Arbiter was the only one who took the Hero's : journey . It's almost like he was the main character after all, which : would of course explain your frustration. It's also true that while many of us (myself included) found the Arbiter's story and character fascinating and involving, a significant proportion of fans simply couldn't or wouldn't empathise with him well enough to enjoy playing him. This regrettable but undeniable fact may well have influenced Bungie to cut back on his involvement in the storyline, thereby impoverishing the story. In Halo 3 he's just the Chief's sidekick, rather than the player's window into Covenant and Elite culture.
