In Response To: Draw distance flaw absent on hi-def? (Rockslider) : When I posted my opinions on Halo 3 , the biggest negative I mentioned was : the draw distance flaw that causes certain things to fade in and out as : you move toward or away from them, or causes things to pop into view when : you raise your magnification. But recently Red_Breast emailed to report : that the flaw is actually absent when he uses a 360 VGA (D-Sub) cable with : his TV. Assuming my interpretation of this draw-distance issue is the same as yours then no; it's still present on high-definition setups. I run my 360 to a 22" monitor using the VGA cable, running at 1920x1080 and I do still get pop-in/out with items in the distance (actually, they don't pop so much as dither in - a dither pattern simulates a fade, but given that the actual native resolution being upscaled is much less than 1080p, the individual pixels of this effect are still quite conspicuous).
