| Humanity-Forerunner Stuff, *CH Spoilers* | |

Just got done reading CH, and damned if I'm not more uncertain of the relationship between Forerunner and Humanity. I just can't seem to get off this damn roller coaster - humans are Forerunner, humans aren't Forerunner. A quick timeline: After H1, I was certain humans were Forerunner
After FoR and Flood, I was even more certain humans were Forerunner
After H2, I was convinced humans were NOT Forerunner
After GoO, I was even further convinced humans were NOT Forerunner
After IRIS, I was absolutely certain humans were NOT Forerunner
After H3, I was slightly less certain humans were NOT Forerunner
After Contact Harvest, I don't know my ass from a hole in the ground
Now, I understand that some of the relevant discussion was done from Truth's point of view, and a initial misunderstanding may have clouded his mindset, but man, it was so straightforward. Mendicant Bias' (that's really who the Oracle was, right?) comments were the most damning.... I also understand that the Oracle might have been speaking of us as the same as the Forerunner because we are inheritors of all they had, but still. So damn direct, and right from the Horse's mouth. Staten, for godsakes. Of course this still allows for the possibility that we are some "lost tribe" of Forerunner. Unfortunately, our (Earth's) anthropological records do not support this. We evolved exactly as we evolved - no fooling around with that. I am right back to where I started 3 years ago - I have no idea what our relationship is with the Forerunner. Can anyone offer clarity?
