In Response To: Going Through Halo 1 Campaign Again... (the covenant) I'm going through it again, too. But this time I'm going through on co-op with my girlfriend who's trying to create an interest in something that I spend so much of my time with (I'm really lucky..I should get her a present for that..anyway). Going through the game with a complete novice who knows nothing of the story just reminds me of all the fun I had going through it the first time. I try to catch her reactions whenever we come to something surprising i.e. the first run-ins with the Hunters--she's kinda scared of them the gold sword elite around the corner when you escape from Silent Cartographer--she gave me a nice hit 'cuz I made her run in front of me for that part lol or her weapons of choice--she's REALLY into the sniper rifle (!!) or her vehicles--she's terrible at driving, but enjoys the ghost we just finished AOTCR last night, and you know what that means, she's gonna meet The Flood for the first time soon =). I've been waitin for this level since we started playing lol. Anyway, to restate my point, Halo 1 is amazing and to practically relive the amazement through a true newbie's eyes is quite the thrill.
