...and I gotta say...I sometimes forget how good this game was/is. I've been through the campaign at least 4-5 times already, but it still feels fresh and fun. After playing the H3 beta for a while, I thought that it would easily surpass H1...but after playing the H1 campaign again yesterday, it's gonna be a lot harder to surpass it than I thought (in gameplay/fun terms). To me, video games just don't get much better than H1....there's a certain deliberate quality to it that makes it interesting all the way through despite a little repetitive level design late in the campaign (which doesn't hamper the game in any way, IMO). Just a brilliant game with a great story, great gameplay, great graphics, and just an overall fun factor/replayability that's hard to come by these days. | |
