: First, it's not really practical on all levels. Ememies in hard to reach
: places on 343 GS, infinite flood spawn points on the Library, insane
: amounts of enemies on Two betrayals, Infinite Spawn points in the Engine
: room on the Maw, and the timer on the final segment, would make for
: difficult if not impossible kill 'em all runs. That being said, there are
: levels where it would make sense, like PoA, Halo, T&R etc.

If you're talking about my runs, I can assure you they're practical on all levels; but it sounds like you've taken the "kill 'em all" tag too literally. That's the basic attitude involved, but yes there are a few exceptions that need to be made to keep things sensible (my rules go into a few level-specific details on that). But not many exceptions are needed.

I'm not sure which enemies you meant in talking about "enemies in hard to reach places on 343 GS"; I can't think of any, and I was testing that level just these last few days.

There are no infinite flood spawn points in the Library (or at least, none I'm aware of). Spawning lasts quite a while in many places, but it's not infinite. Some people may have got that impression because they get too impatient and run off before it ends. But it all stops; so you can indeed get through it and literally kill 'em all.

Insane amounts of enemies on Two Betrayals? Well, plenty yes, but hardly insane. I'd say it's actually one of the best levels for these speed runs.

As for the Maw, yes you need to relax the kill-em-all ethic in the final phase; my rules give the specfics.

: I don't know of any such videos as you dscribe in the last paragraph,
: but if you like, I can certainly record some myself just for you.

Thanks but no, don't do it just for me. For posterity maybe, if there's somewhere you can post them on the web! But are we really so impoverished for videos showing good basic soldiering then? Is it all just tricks and gung-ho stuff with thrash metal dubbed over the top? Seems a shame...
