In Response To: What's the attraction of points etc? (Rockslider) : What I want to know is, what the heck is the attraction with this : achievements and points business? The medals for completing campaign : levels in H1, ok fair enough, that's a standard thing and they were at : least nice to look at. But aside from that, I'm bemused by the whole : thing. : As far as campaign goes, my interest is in defeating the enemy and enjoying
: So, what's it all about? Can someone explain the attraction? And maybe give
I like it because it shows how into the game you are. I have 800 out of 1000 points for Oblivion, that shows that I Liked the game, but wasn't in love with it enough to play it completely. Although Oblivion's achievements had nothing interesting in them, they were all achieved through beating different parts of the game. In Halo 3, I will probably get all of the achievements within a week, or try to. When people look and see that I have already gotten them, they will say, "Daaang! J Force3 must really love Halo!" Also, the higher your gamerscore, the more games you have played... Whatever that means to you.
