In Response To: There's pie in that thar sky (Ducain) : I wrote up a little Halo 3 campaign wishlist. Give it a read, and add your : goodies to the list. : http://highimpacthalo.org/forum/showthread.php?t=22788 : JH Interesting list. I agree with numbers 1, 2, 5, 6, and 7. On 3. Melee attack to be as identical to Halo 1 as possible. I can honestly say I don't really care so much about the differences in the melee between the two games. But what I do care about is just how uneven Melee attacks were between the player and AI.I shake my head everytime I wack an deshielded Elite to little effect and he kills me while I have full shields. In Halo 1 just about the only instant kill Melee was from a sword Elite. On #4. change grenades back I don't have that much an opinion as you seem to be speaking about multiplayer grenades only. I simply don't play Halo multiplayer that much to care. I do however love the change with Halo 2's frag, the way it actually starts its fuse on impact. Keep that and make the damage tweaks and I'll be happy. On #8 "we need a water level" I'm not really sure we do. The best levels of both Halo games were on the ground. I don't foresee that changing. On #9, "bring back Halo 1 physics" I have to say a very big no thanks. Sure Halo 1's physics are great for tricking and exploring, but not for general game play. In normal game play there was no need to launch Warthogs or players up to the top of various objects, or to use an overshield to fall far further than normally allowed. Now there are some things I would love see changed from Halo 2. I don't like boosting at all. It took away half the Ghost's and Banshee's speed and didn't give anything back. I'd love to see Halo 3 vehicles be able to hit their normal speeds without boosting, and make the boost just a faster acceleration at the expense of weapons and steering. The biggest feature I wish for is the return of Halo 1's health system. Halo 2 lost a ton of tension and demands far less "damn good playing" because it doesn't matter how badly an encounter goes as long as you survive it. I loved how in Halo 1 a minor mistake in a given encounter would simply be absorbed by your shields, but a bigger error would stay with you for a while. My favorite moment of all time in any Halo game was being hurt to 1 red bar in the very first encounter of Assault on the Control Room on Legendary, but deciding to play all the way through the first room and across the bridge without dying. Every move and shot I made had to be perfect, or I would be dead. Halo 2 simply cannot provide that level of game play with its recharging health.
