Totally a spectator mode. | |

In Response To: I think I may know the new "thing." (Drakkari) The whole of Halo:CE would be a serious stretch, and with Halo:CE being backwards compatible, there really would be no reason for it. I'd say an actual bona-fide spectator mode would be the most likely thing he's talking about. A free-roaming camera that can also zip to third-person and maybe first-person views with the press of a button. It would make perfect sense, being a feature that Halo (as a series) has never had, and one that wouldn't be terribly hard to implement. In fact, there's probably only a short jump (work-wise) from a free-roam camera devmode to implementing a full-fledged spectator mode. I suspect it would work like the spectator mode in the original Unreal, in that you as the spectator would take up a slot in the lobby, but you wouldn't take part in the action. Of course, this would mean you could only spectate in games with fewer than 16 players. Although...if that really is what he's talking about, why would he not mention the machinima makers being happy about such functionality as well? So maybe I'm wrong. ~Ma1
